A young man says to me “hey I follow you and love the content you put out” and introduced himself.
All of a sudden my heartbeat started pounding, and while flattered it definitely caught me off guard.
I honestly haven't felt shy or socially anxious in a while but that moment gave me a slight reminder.
I've been on this journey for the last 6 years of managing my social anxiety and making great progress.
While I deal with general anxiety from time to time, social anxiety is much rarer in my life because of habits and lifestyle.
What an ironic moment to be know for social anxiety and then meet someone in public and then face a bit of social anxiety 😂
Here's the lesson.
Just because you experience something that may indicate you're not successful or may make you feel uncomfortable, that doesn't actually mean you're not successful or happy.
Don't judge your entire life and progress from the lens of a single moment.
In fact, the gateway to happiness and a true feeling of accomplish is gated by a path of pain, struggle, and psychological resilience.
Personal growth is not always linear 📈
“Going down” 📉 sometimes means you're actually going up in other ways.
Just wait for the season to change, or sometimes you must change.
Happiness = Progress
Progress ≠ Being Happy All the Time
Keep this reminder in mind today ❤️✌️
Conclusion
Hey! Thank you for making it to the end of this :)
