Personally, Iāve been going through many interesting problems, stresses, and issues. Maybe you are as well. I try to take advantage of my states of mind at low or high points and use them, for healthy proactive measures, like writing this email to you.
Here are 3 things to think about and do when in the dark moments!
You will have bad days where you feel like everyone is against you.
In those moments, those days, that's where you have an opportunity.Ā
An opportunity to work on the relationship you have with yourself.Ā
Scary! Most of us would rather do the same crap to numb ourselves than sit in a room alone. I donāt blame you. I did a float tank once in 2019 and it was a terrible experience. Sitting alone in a dark room for an hour and a half by yourself is not a pleasant experience to most, including myself. Which is quite interesting because Iāve been meditating almost daily for the last 5 years and am no stranger to silenceā¦
Anyways, just some things to keep in mindā¦
1. Create Tomorrow, Today.
Has today felt like a complete waste? Canāt do any self-care or anything productive? Donāt sweat. Itās okay. What of my mentors, Sharran Srivatsaa, taught me the fundamental lesson of, it literally does not matter what happened to you today.
It doesnāt matter how unproductive youāve been.
It doesnāt matter if youāve wasted this day or not.
What matters is you use your energy to create tomorrow, today.
Ask yourself:
What can I do to set myself up for success & happiness tomorrow?
What does that require me to do/eat/sleep so I can be happy tomorrow?
How can I schedule my calendar in a way to do the things I want to do?
Transmute your energy into creating a better tomorrow.
2. Channel the Darker Version of Yourself
Iām not gonna lie to you guys. Yesterday, was a terrible day for me. Luckily, I wrote this entire email during my dark moments. Why would I do that? At the beginning I said:
I try to take advantage of my states of mind at low points and use them, for healthy proactive measures, like writing this email to you.
You only truly understand the darkness, when you are in it.
You donāt understand the darkness when your brain is flooding you with good neurochemicals because you are achieving peak success and happiness.
Happiness has its pros and cons, as does the darkness.
Use your darker days to channel the dark side of you. Get more comfortable with your shadow. Ask yourself deep questions that you can only ask yourself when feeling alone, sad and exhausted. Become more empathetic to people in our society who donāt have it as good as you. Channel the darkness, go down in the cave, and maybeā¦ just maybe.. you can come out of the cave with an illuminating golden nugget.
A nugget of insight, and wisdom past your normal perceptions, that can be used to help you create a better life, than what your normal perceptions had thought.
3. Understand Reality Itself Is a Controlled Hallucination From Your Brain, So Donāt Take It So Seriouslyā¦

Hopefully, I didnāt blow your mind too much, but enough to get you to question, the very pictures and videos our brains show us from the moment we open our eyes to the end of the day when we go to sleep.
Donāt take yourself too seriously, when your brain tells you to be as serious as possible, itās a trap to use your own emotions against you, for purely survival purposes.
But, with that being said, also make sure to not dehumanize yourself. You are more than a brain, and scientific phenomenon, I believe we are the minds of the universe.
Within that realization lies meaning, hope, and faith for a better tomorrow, not just for us, but for the collective millions of people around the world, who are just like you.
