☝ my face when someone thinks I should value their opinion above mine.
Personally, I am recovering from being addicted to validation from others, especially those that don't know me. ⠀
But, it's difficult at times. ⠀
Trying to please everyone is a false God. ⠀
Generally speaking, this NEED starts off with our parents. We have a biological need to gain our family’s approval in what we do.
The reality is, nobody will 100% approve of you no matter what you do.

A mentor of mine who's extremely successful and has impacted thousands of lives told me that even on his father's death bed...he never got his approval or understanding. ⠀
Why? Because our parents probably never got approval from their parents, and so on and so forth. ⠀
It's like:⠀
You work hard and graduate college and then people tell you that you have the wrong degree. ⠀⠀
You get a decent paying job living your passion but then people say you should make more money. ⠀
You post content and people ask if you make money and you don't, so people call you broke and shouldn't give advice, etc.⠀
But, you post content so you make money and people call you a sellout and fake influencer. ⠀
You post highlighting an issue in the world and everyone says but wait why aren't you talking about this and you're doing it wrong? ⠀
You try to offer your help and people criticize you claiming that you think you're better than everyone.⠀
At the end of the day, this is a game that never ends...⠀
A game that is quite costly to constantly pay attention and try to please and validate to your mind. ⠀
Personally, if I'm able to fulfill my own life. ⠀
I'm not trying to chase that need through other people who I know I will never get it from but those I love the most including myself! ⠀
People who are constantly judging are just projecting their own insecurities on to you. ⠀
Life is way too short for that crap. ⠀
Respect everyone but don't believe everyone’s opinion. ⠀⠀
People disguise opinions as objective political statements because they fear you, fear fear, are threatened by you and haven't done much critical thinking.
Are you stuck in this trap? 👇⠀
